1960s Double Deck Vintage Bus – Two Vehicles
Traditional Southdown livery
64 seats

Queen Mary 272: New to Southdown in 1965 and based in Brighton; this bus led a mundane life until it was sold to Confidence Coaches of Leicester. After her stint with Confidence, the Queen Mary was acquired by a preservationists in Norfolk who kept her until 2010; at which point we picked her up. Since then, we’ve carried out a lot of work on her. We’ve installed a brand new floor, and new seats; and have given this distinct double decker a place in our Heritage fleet.

Queen Mary 347: This beauty started its life for Southdown in 1967, based mainly in Worthing & Bognor with a short six month stint on Conway street, Hove. After her withdrawal from service, the bus was sold to Castle Coaches, then sold again to become a driver training bus in York. Once she was no longer required, the bus was sold to a preservationists who returned her to her original condition. As of June 2017, Seaford & District acquired this wonderful bus, and added it to our growing Heritage fleet.
